Build custom geographies

You can define the geographic area covered in your report by selecting counties or zip codes.

To build custom geographies:

1  Click the geography link at the top of the page.

Link text usually reads "Metro," "DMA," or "TSA."

2  Choose either the Counties tab or the Zip Codes tab.

You can't mix counties and zip codes in your custom geography.

3  Select one or more , counties (or zip codes) from the Available box:

• Use the Search function to limit the contents of the Available list.

• Press and hold the Ctrl key while you click items in the list.

• Click the arrow to move all highlighted items to the Selected box.

OR type zip codes:

• Click the Type or Paste link to the right of the Search button.

• Click the now blank box (where zip codes appeared) to position the cursor.

• Type one or more zip codes and press Enter.

Use commas to separate multiple zip codes.

• Click the arrow to move all typed zip codes to the Selected box.

4  Optionally, save your selection(s) as a favorite for faster setup next time:

• Type a name to represent all the items you chose.

You can use letters, numbers or special characters from the keyboard in the name.

• Click Save.

The name for the group appears in the Favorites box at the top of the window. You can select a favorite name the next time to finish with one click.

5  Click OK.
